This was written on my friend’s status:
The stupid neither forgive nor forget; the naive forgive and forget; the wise forgive but do not forget.
I really wanted to discuss about this status, because I know particularly what that status all about. But, because I DO know what it is all about, I just couldn’t do it, it could end up badly for there was a big fat conflict of interest, although I know my point of view for that sentence was objective.
As you can see, the wise is the one that sounds CLEVEREST from the three options of who-you-want-to-be in that quote. Which one you would choose from the three? The wise, of course, what kind of question was that?! Yeah. But consider my friend’s temper and character, the wise here could be very misunderstood. But, I didn’t know for sure what the wise mean for my friend. That was the reason I really want to discuss about this.
It is wise to forgive but do not forget, IF you can do it without any feeling left. You have to remember the cause of the fall, absolutely, so you can learn and avoid the same mistake. You have to remember it and LEARN from it. Not keeping the wound forever. That IS idiot.
Forgive means to let your heart forget. Forget means to let you amnesia.
Hopefully, it wasn’t what I thought it would be. Hope fully.
